Suchi Thakrar

I'm Suchi — a certified counselling psychologist with a Master’s in Applied Psychology (Counselling & Clinical Psychology) and a diploma in counselling.

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach — I draw from different ways of working depending on what actually fits you, keeping the process practical, thoughtful, and real. A big part of how I work is shaped by Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, which means we don’t just sit with the problem — we also look at what’s already working and how to build on it (because sometimes the way forward isn’t as far as it feels).

What I Work With:

- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) & Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

- Mindfulness & Family Therapy

Sama Mind was created to offer a space that feels calm, thoughtful, and human, where people can pause, reflect, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

BEYOND THE THERAPY ROOM

Outside of sessions, you’ll often find me travelling to new places, exploring nature, or getting a little competitive on the sports field. I’m endlessly curious about people, stories, and the many ways we grow through our experiences — a curiosity that naturally found its home in psychology.

Opened one tab… now there are 17.

Close one. That’s progress.

Overthinking

Same thought, different font.

Feels like you vs the world a little.

It won’t always feel this quiet.

Nothing is making full sense right now.

That’s okay. Clarity isn’t a fast responder.

WHERE CHANGE BEGINS

Rs 1000/-

50 minutes

A space that’s entirely yours — to pause, unpack, and understand what’s been on your mind (yes, even the overthinking).

Whether it’s anxiety, stress, relationship patterns, or feeling stuck, this is where you begin making sense of it all.

You don’t need to have the right words or clear answers — just showing up is enough. We’ll move at your pace, exploring what feels important in a way that feels safe and manageable.

Over time, you’ll gain clarity, notice patterns, and respond with more balance and ease — not by forcing change, but by understanding yourself better.

HOW THERAPY WORKS

START WITH A CONVERSATION

MAKING SENSE OF IT ALL

You can start anywhere — even with thoughts that feel unclear or unfinished. There’s no right way to show up. This is where we begin building a space that feels safe, steady, and yours.

You’re not expected to have the right words — just a willingness to begin.

As we continue, patterns in how you think, feel, and respond start to become clearer. This awareness helps you understand yourself more deeply, without judgment.

Noticing these patterns is often the first step toward change.

With time, things begin to connect. You start to see how your experiences, thoughts, and responses fit together in a way that feels clearer and more manageable.

Clarity grows quietly, replacing confusion with understanding.

Together, we slow things down and gently unpack what’s been on your mind — your thoughts, emotions, and the experiences shaping them. Clarity begins to take the place of overwhelm.

What once felt tangled slowly starts to feel more understandable.

Drawing from approaches like CBT, SFBT, DBT, and mindfulness, we focus on what supports you — creating small, practical shifts that feel realistic and meaningful in your day-to-day life.

The focus is on progress that feels sustainable, not overwhelming.

We pause to sit with what you’ve discovered, letting it settle in a way that feels natural. Over time, these insights begin to feel more familiar and easier to hold. What felt like just a conversation begins to turn into quiet shifts.

The kind you start to carry with you, even outside this space.

What Clients Say

"My psychotherapy sessions have been really helpful for me. I’ve learned to manage my overthinking and focus more on my positive qualities. I now see myself as a hardworking and good person, and that has improved my confidence . I’ve also learned to take small steps for my own happiness , I even bought a guitar for myself, which felt really empowering and joyful. Thank you for creating a safe and understanding space where I could open up, reflect on myself, and grow in such a positive way."

FAQ

What can I expect in the first therapy session?

The first session is a conversation to understand your story—what’s brought you here, what you’re experiencing, and what you hope to gain. There’s no pressure to share everything at once; you can go at your own pace in a supportive space.

Are sessions conducted online?

Yes. All sessions take place online via secure video calls. This allows you to attend therapy from a space where you feel comfortable — whether that’s your home, office, or a quiet corner with a good internet connection.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you’ve thought “I wish I understood this” or “I need help,” therapy can help. People come for anxiety, stress, relationships, or self-understanding—you don’t need to have it all figured out to start.

How many sessions will I need?

There’s no one-size-fits-all—some come for a few sessions, others for ongoing support. We’ll check in regularly and adjust as needed. The pace is always guided by what feels right for you.

What approaches do you use in therapy?

Sama Mind sessions use an integrative approach, combining methods like CBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques to help you understand patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours — and build healthier responses.

How long is each session?

Each session lasts 50 minutes. Think of it as dedicated time for you — a space to pause, reflect, and work through what’s on your mind.

How do I book a session?

You can book a session directly through the Book Online section on the Sama Mind website. Once your appointment is scheduled, you’ll receive all the details you need for the session.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice so the time can be offered to someone else who may be waiting.
